British colonial chair of solid ebony known as a Raffles chair with fluted concave top rail attached to downward sloping fluted arms with turned ends that attach to seat base. Front legs are turned and fluted ending in a peg foot. Rear saber style legs have fluting on the top fronts. The seat is newly caned.
